DESCRIPTION:Pack of Lies is based on the real-life Portland Spy Ring affair
  of the early 1960s\, telling the story of an ordinary British family\, th
 e Jacksons and the infiltration of Soviet spies\, the Krogers into a munda
 ne middle-class community. The presence of MI5 and a realisation of the Kr
 oger’s true purposes place\, a great strain upon the Jacksons whose live
 s are never the same again. Hugh Whitemore’s play was first seen in the 
 West End in 1983 with Judi Dench and Michael Williams. Dench won the Laure
 nce Olivier Award as Best Actress for her performance. At the heart of the
  play lies the dilemma of whether or not personal bonds between friends ar
 e or should be stronger than bonds with the state. A gripping drama\, not
