Blackbird (Studio Production)

Blackbird was commissioned by the Edinburgh Festival, toured Britain and played across the world receiving many awards and nominations. This is a hard-hitting play inspired by events that took place in 2003 when American Toby Studebaker groomed and abducted a 12-year-old girl. In this play, a fictional Una, now 27, has tracked down 55-year-old Ray, and is confronting him with their past. How they came together, how their relationship developed, their elopement and the consequences of what happened.

Content advice: this play is about a paedophile and includes adult material and sexual references, age 16+ only.

This production will be performed in the studio on the first floor, which is accessed by a flight of stairs.

Note that there are 2 performances on Saturday 28th February:- the matinee at 2:30pm and the evening performance at 7:45pm.
