Founded in 1924, the Wilmslow Green Room Society is one of the oldest Amateur Dramatic Societies in the UK. In the beginning they were “strolling players” performing wherever a venue could be found. In 1989, after a superb fund raising effort, a victorian cottage and an old shirt factory were converted into a modern theatre. After 65 years the society had its own home – The Wilmslow Green Room Theatre. The theatre has seating capacity for up to 85 and provides access and facilities for wheelchair users.
